On Thursday we had Math Centres for the first time this year.
The five centres were:
1. Spin Centre
At this centre students used a spinner to spin a number. Then they added that number of plastic spiders to their tens chart. When someone fills up their tens chart, all the students take their spiders off and start over.
2. Dice Centre
At this centre students rolled a die and then covered up that number on the pumpkin paper using a bingo chip. The first student to have all their numbers covered up wins and everyone starts over.
3. Marker Centre
At this centre students coloured by number.
4. Sand Centre
At this centre students worked with Ms. W and practice making numbers in the sand.
5. Meet the Teacher
At this centre Mrs. Jackson worked with her students on sorting. We sorted by colour, shape and size.
